 The Great Lakes
Medieval Faire was a chance occurrence for me. A friend from
Ohio needed help moving, so I volunteered. The faire was an
added benefit to helping out a friend. In the end I attended two
weekends of the faire (2nd and 4th). Quality performances from the Washing Well
Wenches, Hack and Slash, Johnny Phoenix, and Axel the Sot made the two
days spent at faire quite entertaining. A rousing joust at the
end of the day completed my first weekend. The crowds were a
little more "mundane" than I am used to but what they lacked in garb
they made up for in enthusiasm. The patrons were involved in all
the shows and seemed to be enjoying themselves. As a side note I
think other faires should look at the food that GLMF offers.
Delicious does not even cover how good the food looked and tasted at
GLMF.
